Happy Sunday!
And welcome to today's edition of “Conscious living with Purnima”. I am excited to share my new newsletter format with you. Going forward, each of the weekly posts will give you 3 things to do:
A. Reflect
B. Respond (write back, comment, share your own stories or just savor the writing, your wish)
C. Act on
Enjoy reading & thanks for being here. I truly appreciate it 🙂
Embody what you wish to see in the world
On awakening to our own attitudes
The world we live in operates by its own set of rules. I am sure you have realised that by now. When we toe the line, we feel inauthentic. And when we march to our own drum beat we feel lonely. Navigating through all of this, trying to find a balance, can stir several difficult emotions, making us feel like the world is being harsh on us. Making us wonder, if there is any way we can live with ease.
Do you resonate?
I would like you to reflect today on how you deal with these difficult emotions, when they arise. What’s your autopilot response to such discomfort?
Mine used to be shutting myself out from the outside world, immersing myself into the inner and waiting for everything to magically set itself right. Today, I am wise enough to know that to set things right, I have got to take on the role of the magician, myself.
I have begun to consciously make a change. When I feel unsupported, I ask myself, ‘who am I supporting?’ or ‘who can I support?’ If I want my work recommended then I ask myself, ‘whose work am I recommending?’ When I feel low, I have begun to look around, to see if I have the capacity to make someone else feel better.
And this is beginning to change my inner experience as well as the energy I carry & bring to my world.
As a new week starts tomorrow, I invite you to pay attention to your own responses to the perceived harshness of the world, & begin asking yourself how you can be that, which you wish to see in the world.
I will see you next week with something else to reflect, respond & act on. Until then take good care of yourself, pursue the things that you feel will make you happy and never lose faith in the goodness of the Universe. Leaving you with something interesting to try out below.
