Start paying attention to these 3 areas
“Health & Fitness” is an important area of your life and any improvement you make in this domain, will have a positive effect on other areas. So be convinced that the sooner you start paying attention to improving your “health and fitness”, the better.
And with this weekly newsletter, I am here to show you paths you can explore, to make improvements that stick.
This week, I invite you to get started. All you need to do is pay attention to the following 3 areas:
A. Your daily habits & routines
B. Your Environment
C. Your Mindset
No need to judge or try making any changes yet. Just observe.
A. Your daily habits & routines:
✨ What time do you wake up?
✨ Do you have a morning routine, things you typically do to kick-start the day? How does the morning routine have an impact on the rest of the day?
✨ How much attention do you pay to what you consume and how much- food, drinks, media etc.
✨ Do you have any intentional healthy habits like ensuring proper hydration, getting daily dose of movement, adequate rest, techniques to handle stress? How are these serving you?
✨ What time do you go to bed? And do you wake up feeling well rested?

B. Your Environment
✨ How “health and fitness” conscious are your family members?
✨ What about friends? Do they care to adopt healthy lifestyle habits?
✨ Do you have friends or family members who are fit?
✨ Does your environment challenge you to improve your physical health and fitness?
✨ Do people around you support you in your endeavours towards better health and fitness?

Your Mindset:
✨ What are your ideas around improving your health and fitness? Do you think it's too late, too early, can do, cannot do?
✨ What do you know about the lifestage you are in and what you need?
✨ Do you think you have adequate knowledge about the steps you need to take to make progress on your health and fitness journey?
✨ What does it mean for you to be healthy?
✨ What does it mean for you to be fit? What is it that you want to be able to do? What do you aspire for?

This week reflect on these 3 areas - habits, environment & mindset. Make notes in your journal about these, if journaling is your thing. Else just become more aware of these areas and how they are playing out in your life.
Be honest. This is critical. We have to be absolutely honest with ourselves, if we intend to bring about any positive change.
Know that you will be more successful in your journey to better health and fitness when you carve out a path unique to you and you do it of your own accord.
