Happy Friday!
And welcome to today's edition of 'Conscious living with Purnima.' We have just one more week for the year to end. Would you like to explore setting an intention for the mindset that you would like to adopt & nurture through the coming year?
In today's post I will share with you, my intention. Hope it inspires you to choose one for yourself based on your self-awareness.
These last few months I have been doing a lot of self-reflection and have been trying to find myself. I don't know if that sounds strange to you. But I feel in many ways I have let myself move away from who I am. And now I am consciously giving myself the permission to express myself in ways that feel authentic & also develop myself in ways that feel aligned to who I am comfortable being. This is an ongoing journey & definitely not an easy one. Breaking free from past conditioning, allowing oneself to express in ways that are unique but real is very hard & a lot of time feels lonely. But I have chosen to take this rocky road to authentic self-expression.
And as I allow myself to be a version of me that feels most comfortable, I also find being more accepting of other people and sometimes even actively looking for their uniqueness/differences. This part of the journey of observing & accepting others has been interesting and expansive if I may use that word.
As part of the journey to unravelling my true self, I have decided to set an intention for the upcoming year to 'manage my focus' very sharply.
And by that, I mean following a guideline on who & what to give my attention to. I don't feel the need to share this guideline with you as that won't be necessary. It would suffice for you to know that the guideline is something that my own inner guidance has helped me create. In the New Year I would like to start honoring my inner guidance more over surrounding influences.
Your turn now. What's going to be your intention for the Year 2024? Let me know in the comments or write back. You know I love to hear from you :-)

“Intuition literally means learning from within. Most of us were not taught how to use this sense, but all of us know well that ‘gut’ feeling. Learn to trust your inner feeling and it will become stronger. Avoid going against your better judgment or getting talked into things that just don’t feel right.”

“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are, and you know what you want.”
– Lao Tzu
Good way to end the year with your article. Good read
