Happy Wednesday!
It’s been such a long time since I wrote for you. I am not sure if you missed me, but I really missed not writing for you. And it makes me really happy to finally get around to penning down this newsletter edition.
Today I want to share with you something deep I have been contemplating about - the need to reclaim trust - Trust in our own lives. And the transformational impact it can have on us.
Let’s get to it.
trust:
firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something.
As we go about life if we are not conscious, we can begin to lose trust in ourselves because of our environmental influences. Other people’s judgements, opinions, prejudices & ideas - of which there is no dearth, can obscure our own inner voice of right judgement.
As a Fitness Coach, having trained clients for over a decade, I have come to realize that the best way a client can improve his or her health is by simply listening to their own body. I also realize that most clients have lost that capacity. Regaining that involves stilling the outside noise & rooting once awareness inward. It involves paying close attention to what feels good for the body (in terms of food, activity, social connections etc.) & what does not. And honoring that awareness. So simple, yet so hard.
The same goes for our life.
Today I would like you to join me in contemplating what would happen if you trusted:
✨ That your life, with all its ups & downs, success & failures, happiness & sadness is the blueprint for your liberation?
✨ That real success is being deeply satisfied which comes from being in alignment with who you are meant to be & not who you think you should be based on comparisons of other people’s lives which in today’s day & age you have easy access to or what somebody else believes?
✨ That your true-life path with the potential to deeply satisfy you can look very different from anything you have ever seen?
Tell me how you would show up if you believed in that? Wait, let me tell you as I have been experimenting with these ideas in my own life:
You would dare to be authentic
You will allow yourself to make mistakes as that’s the only way to learn if your path needs redirection
You will learn to let go of controlling your life experiences, even though this would be hard & cause suffering
Trust is built by not just listening to our inner voice but also honoring it. This is a lifelong journey with the progress we make on it not being linear. But it’s worth reminding ourselves so we may truly see the beauty & value in our unique life.
