Something to ponder over.
On reflecting & digging deeper into why we don't often do what we know we should for our true happiness.
Happy Friday!
And welcome to today’s edition of ‘Conscious living with Purnima’. Today, I don’t have any new practice for you. Just an invitation to reflect on what’s holding you back from applying all the knowledge & wisdom that you already have in your heart.
Have you paid attention to your tendency to continually seek new knowledge to help you live better? When you reflect on it, you will realize that there is a lot of knowledge & wisdom buried in your heart that hasn’t been sufficiently applied.
Bruce Lee said knowing alone isn’t sufficient, we must apply. But something keeps coming in the way of application, isn’t it? Because if we all applied what we know in our hearts to be true, we would be a lot healthier & happier. But neither are we that healthy nor happy.
Today, reflect on this collective problem of seeking more knowledge than what is already present to change into a so-called better version of ourselves.
Can we actually stop seeking & start applying more of what we already know? How would our life change if we actually did that? What do you think is stopping us?
If you feel comfortable do share your reflections in comments and I will share mine with you :)
Next week I will bring you a practice to help you tune into the knowledge that you already possess. I hope you will find it useful. For today’s post instead of 2 quotes, I have a book recommendation for you. If you are anything like me, then pick it, read it, & reflect on it. You will like it.
