I came across this quote by Thich Naht Hanh last week that read, "At any moment you have a choice that either leads you closer to your spirit or further away from it."
True, isn't it?
We can choose to act on autopilot not paying attention to how our actions align with our deepest intentions & values or become more attentive.
In becoming more attentive, we take control of how we choose to express ourselves, what we put out into the world, & how we show up for ourselves & others.
As a new week starts tomorrow, I invite you to pause often to re-examine your intentions behind your actions. Before you put out anything into the world, ask yourself what you intend to achieve through it & if the manner in which you choose to express yourself, truly you.
What I am currently reading, that feels a lot in line with today's topic:
Worth the risk, by Kristen Lee. Have you read it? If you have, then do write back. I would love to discuss the book more deeply with you.
Congratulations on your personal milestones. Pray the almighty, as you achieve higher.
Coming to the topic: Yes! Sometimes, we tend to dissolve oneself, to action and tune ourselves to please and act for others: be it boss, spouse or others. As long as we know what we are doing and temp, it's fine, otherwise, we get carried away and end up with lot of disappointments.
Congrats on your flying colors and many successful endeavors! I haven't read the book but I think staying true to ourselves...esp as you define it is beautiful and valuable beyond belief and it's something I seek very much to embody in my way of living.
