About me : 

I am Purnima Aiyar, an advertising professional turned fitness instructor. For many years, I was on a search for a job that allowed me to express my deepest intentions and help me make a difference to someone's life. And I am glad, I finally found it.

I have worked in the areas of operations, marketing and advertising. A change of career happened in 2011 when my husband and I decided to take a sabbatical from work and backpack around India. Something not heard of in our family. But that's a story for another day 🙂

So as part of the sabbatical, I spent a month in Mysore learning Yoga. While yoga had been part of my life, I had not considered taking it seriously. That changed soon after. I went on to do my Yoga TTC at Sivananda Ashram, Trivandrum, Kerala. I also got certified to teach Aerobics and Kick-started my new career as a Group Fitness Instructor at Dinaz's Fitness Studio in Hyderabad. Soon I decided to go solo and have worked independently since then.

Over the years I have acquired several other NCCA accredited certifications in my area of interest - Group Fitness Instructor Certification from ACE, Personal trainer certification from ACE, Functional Movement Specialist certification from ACE, Women's Fitness Specialist certification from NASM, Zumba Instructor Certification from Zumba etc. I enjoy learning. It keeps my brain sharp & also helps me add more value to my clients.

Currently, I run a ‘holistic wellness program’ for women that is focused on helping women find a stress-free path to better health and fitness. The program emphasises five daily practices to achieve a stronger body and a calmer mind.
